Databases

Information is everywhere - we are inundated every day with phone calls, voicemails, emails, letters and a multitude of forms in all shapes and sizes.

Keeping track of all this data often proves to be increasingly difficult, but with new database options it doesn't have to be. What does your database do for you? Do you manage staff, volunteers, donors, clients, families, or children? Do you have one place to store all of their names, addresses, telephone numbers? What about all of your communications with them?

Databases can store information about anything. Whatever it is you want to track, store or safeguard, a database can probably help. With today's advanced tools, you can control who has access to what, when and where. You can choose to share pieces of information with your office or with the world. You can allow certain people to view or edit the data from anywhere, on any computer. If you're thinking about using a database or if you're just frustrated with the limitations of your current software, I can help. Having spent five years building new database systems from the ground up, I've enjoyed finding what works best and painfully learned what to avoid. It really is amazing how much you can do with the newest database systems, and they needn't be expensive.
